Mrs. Dude’s Fund is currently taking a break. Future updates will be available at:

Mrs. Dude’s Fund was started on Mother’s Day 2009 by Hugh Weber through his Dude To Dad network (over 16,000 followers at the time) internationally in honor of his mother-in-law, Victoria “Vicki” Hyde.

When doctors found breast cancer during Vicki’s pregnancy with Hugh’s wife, Amy (who he often refers to as “Mrs. Dude”), they told her that her only hope for survival was to terminate the pregnancy and begin treatment.

She didn’t.

Instead, she gave birth to Amy, fought cancer for a year, and passed away the day after Mother’s Day. Hugh realized that, without Vicki’s strength, resilience, and stubborn tenacity, he wouldn’t have the women in his life that matter most – Amy and his beautiful daughter, Emerson Victoria.

In honor of Vicki Hyde, Mrs. Dude’s Fund has raised money to help families battling breast cancer and in immediate need of assistance for varied and unique reasons.

Whether the request is fixing a vehicle to help someone getting to chemo or providing a much needed hand with household chores, our goal is to help people with a lighthearted smile and a serious mission.

Our efforts were recognized by Ford Motor Company as the Social Activism Award Winner in 2009.
